During perimenopause and menopause, your estrogen and progesterone begin to fluctuate and decline. This is not just about hot flashes and night sweats. These hormones affect virtually everything.
Your metabolism slows. Your body begins storing fat differently, especially around your middle.
Your muscle mass starts to decline at a faster rate than it did in your 30s, and because muscle is what drives your metabolism, this creates a cycle that is genuinely difficult to break without the right approach.

Strength Training — 2 sessions per week
Strength training is the single most important thing a woman in midlife can do for her body and it is at the heart of SoulSpark Movement. It protects your metabolism, builds and preserves muscle, supports bone density, improves body composition, and gives you the kind of physical confidence that changes how you move through your entire day.
These sessions are designed to challenge you in the right way for your body right now. Not punishing. Not exhausting. Effective, progressive and built for long-term results.
On every strength training day, alongside your workout, you receive short practical coaching on the things that actually move the needle for women in this season of life.

Pilates — 2 sessions per week
Pilates is the perfect partner to strength training for midlife women. It builds core strength from the inside out, improves mobility and flexibility, supports joint health, and gives your nervous system the focused, restorative movement it genuinely needs.
You will feel taller, stronger and more connected to your body after every session.

Functional Training — every other week
This is real-life strength. The kind that makes the hike feel easier, lets you keep up with your grandkids, and means your body is not just strong in a gym but strong in your actual life.
Functional training focuses on movement patterns, balance, coordination and joint health so that everything you do outside of class feels better too.

30-Minute Classes
Every single session is 30 minutes. Not because corners are being cut but because 30 focused, intentional minutes done consistently is worth infinitely more than a two-hour program you can never quite fit in.
This is designed around your real schedule, the one with work and family and responsibilities and all the other things that are not going anywhere.

Live and On-Demand Access
Every class runs live on Zoom so you can show up in real time, feel the energy of the community, and have a coach in your corner.
Every class is recorded and stored in your private portal so that when life happens, because it will, your session is waiting for you.
You keep your momentum no matter what the week looks like.

If you’re just getting back into a routine, you can absolutely begin with your bodyweight. That’s more than enough to start building consistency and confidence.
As you progress, adding a bit of resistance will help you see and feel better results. I recommend starting with a set of resistance bands. They’re simple, effective, and perfect for training at home.
For the full experience, having a few basic pieces of equipment will give you the most variety and support your progress over time:

I didn’t grow up knowing how to take care of my body.
I grew up in a home where dieting was the norm. Popcorn diets. Cabbage soup. Atkins.
The message was clear. Being smaller meant being better. Food was something to control, not something that could support you.
By my early twenties, I was struggling with my relationship with food. At the same time, I was diagnosed with clinical depression. I felt like my mind and body were working against me, and I was exhausted from trying to manage both.
What changed everything was discovering how powerful movement, real food, sleep, and stress management could be. Not as punishment. As tools.
I fell in love with helping women experience that shift, and I’ve been doing this work for over 25 years.
Then perimenopause hit.
The strategies I had trusted for years stopped working the same way. My body needed something different, and I had to learn, just like my clients, how to adapt.
That experience changed how I coach.
I saw how many women were being told to eat less and exercise more, while their hormones, sleep, and stress were all shifting in ways that made that advice not just unhelpful, but counterproductive.
I created SoulSpark Movement because I wanted something better.
Something consistent. Structured. Supportive.
Something that fits real life and actually teaches women how to care for their bodies in this stage.
